About British Military Collections
For over 40 years, I have been producing swords and providing specialist services to industry and the military. I began my business after taking to heart Norman Tebbit’s advice to “get on your bike” and start a business.
I started out as a badge maker, printer, and supplier of corporate gifts such as woven ties and miniature swords, working closely with MOD contractors in the UK and further afield. Over time, we developed deep expertise in the refurbishment and conservation of swords, edged weapons, and other metal objects.
Today, we bring a wide range of skills in-house. Our leatherworking includes hand-sewn bridle and harness work, as well as the covering and finishing of leather scabbards. Our carpentry team manufactures sword stands, bespoke cases, and display pieces, and our work has grown into more complex projects such as staircases, home offices, and even secret rooms.
We continue to refurbish, restore, and supply corporate gifts, and we also work with museums, including the Britannia Museum at BRNC Dartmouth. Most recently, we produced “The Four Admirals” artworks commissioned by the College Museum to help raise funds. The pieces have been very well received and are featured on the website.
If you like our style of work and are looking to create something distinctive, particularly for fundraising, our skilled craftsmen are here to help.
