Sword Refurbishment

We offer specialist sword refurbishment and restoration, and over the years we have worked on almost every type of sword and edged weapon. This includes UK and Commonwealth patterns, Samurai swords, German and Italian blades, British and European daggers, WWI and WWII pieces, and Arab-style blades such as the khanjar and talwar. Variety is not a problem, because we have the tools, experience, and in-house skills to handle each piece correctly.

Our services cover careful cleaning and conservation through to full parade-standard refurbishment. We can restore scabbards by relining them, repairing damage, or replacing scabbard bodies, and we can supply entirely new scabbards if preferred. We also replace grip wire where required and hold spare parts for many common patterns.

Because we have skilled leatherworkers on the team, including traditional hand sewing, we can also tackle the associated leatherwork properly, from repairs through to complete recovering. Recent in-house work has included relining a mayoral chain in sheepskin for comfort, as well as cleaning, polishing, re-gilding in 24 carat gold, and engraving where needed.
